A large Level 2 B-BBEE organization offering multi-modal solutions encircling air, sea, road and rail as well as provision for warehousing, insurance, customs clearing, compliance, supply chain, contract and project logistics needs are seeking a strong New Business Sales Executive to join their dynamic team.
Successful candidate must be self-managed and self-disciplined. They will be working closely with the commercial teams, product & network, to develop and promote new business into the local branch and ensure that all customers are fully aware of the full complement of services and solutions.
Candidates MUST have a proven sales track record in Clearing and Forwarding.
- Responsible for reaching sales target in line with the strategies determined by the Company
- All aspects of new business sales including identifying new business opportunities, various prospecting methods, detailed needs analyses, identifying areas of improvement, recommending and presenting solutions, negotiation.
- Responsible for preparing freight estimates.
- Responsible for preparing and maintaining client rate proposals.
- Thorough client implementation process including Specific Operating Procedures.
- Developing and strengthening client relationships and trust.
- Responsible for client retention.
- Achieve growth through extension business.
- Client entertainment.
- Maintaining CRM system and sales pipeline.
- Developing and strengthening technical and commercial expertise in order to achieve the required results.
- Matric is essential
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in sales in Clearing and Forwarding
- Be well versed in solution selling
- Must be able to provide proof that you are currently achieving sales target
- Required to build own book of blue-chip clients
