Our elite client in the Courier industry is looking for a high level, forward thinking and energetic Business Development Manager. Minimum of 5 years Sales experience in Courier or Road Freight is a must. This person will be expected to reach targets in order to earn off their very lucrative commission structure. They are looking for a highflyer who can hit the ground running from month 1. If you are looking for growth, this is the position for you!
Responsibilities:
- Focus on development of New Business Revenue growth through prospecting, qualifying and closing the deal.
- Prepare tenders, reports, presentations, Approve rates for types of customers.
- Generate and follow up on qualified leads in line with company specific requirements
- Analyse clients’ needs and propose various courier solutions accordingly and close the deal
- Ensure continuous follow-up by the Sales Team on pending clients
- Manage and retain client relationships on all levels and provide a professional service including of after- sales service, client enquiries and regular follow ups.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Grade 12
- MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Minimum of 5 years Sales experience, preferably from the Courier Industry
